Getting Around the island - transportation
Once you’re on the island—with your week’s groceries and beverages from Walmart—there’s very little need to drive (unless you plan to explore off-island). You’ll find more restaurants within walking distance than you could possibly visit in a single week.
Fort Myers Beach Trolley System
Fort Myers Beach operates a year-round trolley service, seven days a week. The route runs from Lovers Key State Park on the south end of the island to the Beach Park & Ride just north of the island. Trolley stops are marked with blue-and-white signs.
