A short drive (or longer walk) brings you to the Mound House public fishing pier — a peaceful bay-side spot where guests can fish without needing a Florida fishing license. It’s also a wonderful place for sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and learning about the island’s history.

For those who enjoy a livelier atmosphere, nearby resorts offer optional day-pass experiences with pools, dining, and entertainment. These provide a fun change of pace before returning to the privacy and comfort of your own space.
